Beauty Is Pain
My mom used to tell me that every time I had to sit on the floor while she detangled my naps…its the only thing that is keeping me from taking out these uncomfortable bantu knots I have in my head. It was also the only thing that had me plucking for dear life this morning to get my eyebrows half way decent (they aren’t terrible, nothing a brow pencil couldnt fix). The waxing, the shaving, the arching of my body in weird angles just so I can paint my toes correctly. The shaping undergarments that tighten and lift, but confine the body and make you sweat more. I guess Im conditioned to put myself through this torture with those words my mom engrained in my head…Beauty is Pain.

So as promised, my photo of the day. I posted the outtake as well cause I liked it. Story behind the skirt. I walked into a thrift store not really looking for much and found this skirt and another one. They were both maxis and while I did like them, I’ve wanted midi skirts all season. This one was $2.48…a super fucking deal right? Right. So I took them to my tailor and had them shortened. So in total, it was about $10. TEN.DOLLARS!! Holla at a playa.
